Direct a wide variety of manufacturing engineering activities to develop and improve standards for industrial processes, materials and products to assure all customer requirements are met in a cost efficient manner.


 Supervise maintenance of plant's equipment and facility to include:

  • Maintenance of production machines
  • Emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment and scheduled maintenance repairs
  • Preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and facility
  • Investigate and approve outside vendors for maintenance needs as required
  • Evaluate and solve maintenance problems
  • Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.
  • Works closely with Plant Manager, Manufacturing Supervisors, and shop personnel to continuously improve and standardize current processes; develops and implements improved processes and incorporates into designs. I
  • nvestigates and troubleshoots process problems as they occur and takes necessary corrective actions.
  • Request engineering changes to reduce costs, improve quality or decrease manufacturing times.
  • Coordinates implementation of approved changes.
  • Completes manufacturing method sheets and CNC programs as required.
  • Identifies equipment needs, investigates and prepares capital equipment justifications.
  • Identifies and qualifies outside vendors supplying raw materials, subcontract machining and other processes.
  • Negotiates contracts with vendors and follows up on services to insure quality and timely delivery.
  • Develops training programs and materials and conducts training sessions as needed on processes.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts throughout the organization.
  • Works closely with Team Leaders and production personnel on all shifts to provide guidance and instruction on proper processes.
  • Work closely with quality personnel to modify and continuously improve processes to enhance quality, stabilize processes and/or reduce costs.
  • Advise Plant Manager of engineering problems or concerns and work closely to assure compliance with company standards.
  • Confer with other manufacturing engineers to share knowledge and corrective actions to enhance/improve overall company quality and profitability.


This position will supervise the Maintenance Machinists


Requires a four-year degree in Engineering plus five to seven years of experience in manufacturing engineering functions to include processes, process improvement, and maintenance supervision.
