SUMMARY:

The Regional Sales Representative is responsible for the sales, service and relationship building for Cook's Domestic After Market (AM) accounts primarily in the Great Lakes Region (Michigan, Wisconsin, Northern Illinois, Minnesota and Iowa). The Representative will work closely with other functional areas of the business to satisfy the Regions AM customers. This position will oversee all aspects of the AM business from sales to delivery.

Responsibilities:

 The job responsibilities listed below are not all inclusive, but are a good representation of the position.

  • Establish core business in Michigan, Wisconsin, Northern Illinois, Minnesota and Iowa.
  • Develop and maintain a personal relationship with key individual's at his or her Regions After Market (AM) accounts.
  • Demonstrate initiative to generate new sales and business opportunities
  • Demonstrate ability to learn and adapt under changing market conditions
  • Responsible for Sales Safety Management including Safety Moments for all Regional meetings
  • Responsible to communicate to all levels and departments of Cook Compression
  • Demonstrate, maintain and manage professional integrity
  • Be responsible for all equipment, parts, computers, vehicles, credit cards, keys, phones and other company-owned property
  • Comply with non-disclosure for all Cook Compression intellectual property, including proprietary prints, designs, and trade secrets.
  • Provide weekly expense and travel reports
  • Responsible for managing monthly market and competitive reports.
  • Responsible for reporting market dynamic changes up to personnel changes to U.S. Sales Manager
  • Provide intelligence to U.S. Sales Manager on pricing strategies for AM accounts
  • Responsible for overall project management of AM accounts; including sales projects, engineering projects, scheduling projects, etc....
    • Includes facilitating quarterly operational meetings with AM management.
    • Includes managing special project launch to meet specific customer requirements including new product implementations, etc....
  • Responsible for presenting training programs, both sales and product.
  • Responsible for identifying and growing sales to the current AM accounts through additional market share and developing new business from new accounts within region.
  • Integrate the current multi phased strategies throughout the business to form a single, cohesive strategy for the AM business to move forward on
    • This includes implementing new products that AM have not traditionally purchased from Cook. (i.e. Windrock and Non-Core Product)

 Education:

 Qualifications for the Regional Sales Representative include:

  • BA or BS in Engineering, Management, Business or related field, or an equivalent in years of experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years in a sales account management role

 Requirements:

  • Excellent computer skills; be proficient in all Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to prepare and present to all levels of management
  • Present himself/herself in a professional manner to represent the company well.
  • Be able to travel
  • Work and communicate effectively within a high performance culture
